BOARD OF DIRECTORS

There is a five (5) Member Board of Directors who assist in the management of the Foundation.

The Board Members are seasoned professionals from various disciplines, including university dons, medical practitioners and financial consultants, who have made their experience and skills available to facilitate the operations of Arkcity Link Foundation.

DR. (MRS) FELICITY SAWYERR

Managing Director, ALF.

A retired Nurse / Midwife. After retirement she continued to care for humanity and serve her community. She is the Founder / Managing Director of Arkcity-Link-Foundation. A Charitable Organization designed to provide practical computer training for the underserved children and the youth in Winneba, Central Region of Ghana.

 

MR TOM ARKHURST

CEO Arkcity-Link-Foundation

A Retired Management Accountant, formerly the Financial Controller of Peugeot Automobile Company of Nigeria for several years. He was appointed a Director of Grange way Systems on his return to the UK. Mr. Arkhurst set up The Winneba Business Centre (ICT) which nurtured Arkcity-Link Foundation

 

 

PROF. S. M. QUARTEY

Trustee

Dean of graduate school, University of Education. Winneba,

He was the first Chairperson of the Foundation, until his recent appointment as the Ghanaian Ambassador to the Czech Republic.

He however remains an official member of the board.

Mr Victor A Arkhurst

Chairman, Arkcity Link Foundation

Retired Architect / Company Director.

Born 14th April 1945 in Cape Coast to parents who were educationists from Winneba in the Central Region of Ghana.

Attended Mfantsipim Secondary School, Cape Coast and obtained his first degree and a Post-graduate diploma in Planning and Architecture at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Architecture.

In 1973 was enrolled as an associate member of the Ghana Institutes of Architects and had 40 years successful practice as an Architect/Planner in Ghana and Nigeria. Worked as Civil and Building consultant at the Architectural and Engineering Services Limited in Ghana, the AOA Consults in Ibadan and the Apteam Integrated Consultants in Owerri, Nigeria. With considerable experience and training in management and organizational skills his last employment was with the Electricity Company of Ghana  as initiator and in charge of the Premises Directorate until retirement in 2006. Currently doubles as a consultant and contractor in the Building and Civil industry.

Extra professional activities included teaching at the PWD Training School, Weija, Accra and the Institute of Technology, Owerri, Nigeria.   Have been board member for the Mozano Secondary School, the Global Non-Traditional Export Producers Association, the Ark-City Foundation, the All-Faith Medical Center; a farmer and a National Executive member of large Christian organization.

 

 

Dr Isaac M Botchey

Medical Officer in charge of Klimovic Memorial Hospital Winneba, Ghana. He is also the Proprietor/ Managing Director of the Hospital.Dr Botchey has served in many of the Government hospitals in different parts of the country   before settling to start his own hospital.Klimovic Hospital is one of the service providers of the National Health Insurance scheme in the Central Region, Ghana.  

Mr. isaac o. baidoo

Secretary, Arkcity Link Foundation

Retired Educationist

Born in January 23, 1945 at Winneba.

He trained as a Professional Teacher and Educationist with a varied teaching experience through his career which.

He was the Music Tutor at Apam Secondary School from 1979 – 1993.

He served in the District Education Office – Apam as HRMD Officer between 1995-2002, where he assed through the grades to reach Assistant Director of Education. He was subsequently appointed Acting District Director (Gomoa) in September, 2003.

He also has a Diploma in Music Education  – 1975-1979 from National Academy of Music – Winneba.

He rose through the ranks with several dignified awards including “The Best Education Administrator” Gomoa in July, 1996.

He retired as a Professional Teacher of Ghana Education Service in  23rd January, 2005 having served Ghana Education Service for 42 years.
